I am currently a fourth year medical student located in the midwestern US. Its the beginning of my fourth year and I'm currently studying for Step 2 CK and CS which I will be taking at the end of this month. I created this blog because I have not been particularly impressed with the resources available to students when they are studying for med school and board exams. I hope to create a helpful tool for students while they are studying as well as to create some helpful podcasts. While I do not have the time to create a lot of study material in this next month, I figure I can add to the material over the next year (or longer) and provide a resource that is helpful for future students.
Please feel free to comment and give me ideas for topics as well as constructive input on how to improve the material I present.
In addition to providing study resources, I'll talk about my journey as a medical student, both in the previous three years and in the year to come. Likely topics will include clinical rotations, externships, residency application, interviews, the match, and of course my experience as a resident (once I get there).
My own experience as a medical student is unique because I am a wife and mother to two young children. My children were 3 and 1 years old when I started medical school. Feel free to ask me questions about those experiences if they are pertinent to you.
